There seems to be some (like Neil & Joel of caskstrength.net) who feel Rosebanks in the late teens (17 years) to be the sweet spot. But then again late teens are popular ages for many distilleries. Perhaps a bit more effusive on...Floral and fruity. Perhaps a bit more effusive on the nose than the palate which is a bit simple - yet sweet and pleasant. You've nailed the essential Rosebank character. The sherried ones can seem more august - but under the sherry the same dynamics are in play. The simplicity is part and parcel of Lowland drams. Compared to most, Rosebank IS complex. Probably the most floral fruity and iterated flavor profile of any Lowland distillery - broadly speaking (and oversimplifying). <br /><br />I love and miss those old G&M CC labels!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
